Reasons to Rethink Cosmology

In this author's perspective there are two basic reasons for changing the way we currently view cosmology, the science of the advent of the universe.

  (1)  The modern Big Bang hypothesis is untenable because it proposes that a real universe emerged “Out of Nothing”. The shaky foundation of this hypothesis comprises a mixed-bag of real and hypothetical entities; the real gravitational force intrinsic to matter and hypothetical Cosmic Inflation and Dark Energy extrinsic to the matter of the universe.

  (2)  The Vedic Big Bang is tenable because it leads to a rotating universe out of a real matter-matter transition. Its reality is built on the foundation of the force of gravity pulling matter inward and the centrifugal force of angular momentum throwing matter outward - both forces intrinsic to the matter of the universe.

The modern Big Bang hypothesis is also in violation of the all-pervading "Cause-and-Effect" principle and another dictum in Vedic Philosophy which stipulates - "What is being created cannot be a cause of itself".

The all-pervasive nature of the "Cause-and-Effect" principle was recognized by ancient Vedic rishis (sages). For example a YajurVeda mantra (40/11) states: "...simultaneously understanding both (cause and effect) enhances your knowledge...". The cause-and-effect principle and its connection to cosmology is discussed in this book with references from the Vedas and the ancient Darshans (Sutras/Philosophy books).

From the far antiquity of the Vedic Civilization in India, beyond 5,000 years, the Saankhya Darshan sutra (1/43) of Rishi Kapil states - नावस्तुनो वस्तुसिध्दि: (Naavastuno vastusiddhi) which means - "Nothingness cannot be the cause of something". The same principle emerged millenia later as the 'categorical imperative' of the German philosopher Immanuel Kant (1712-1804 CE) (discussed in Chapter 1). Kant according to the Soviet scholar Theodore Stcherbatsky (1866-1942 CE) had a deep interest in Hindu (Vedic) philosophy and derived his doctrine from Vedic Philosophy.

Key deficiencies of the modern Big Bang hypothesis are discussed in Chapters 1, 2 and 7.

An example of a part-mantra is given below to show how the mantras are translated in this book.
    एकचक्रं वर्तत एकनेमि सहस्राक्षरं प्र पुरो नि पश्चा । …(Ekchakram vartat eknemi sahasraaksharam pra puro ni pashcha |...(AtharvaVeda 10/8/7).

(continued in the next column). Word Transliteration and Meaning: एकचक्रं (ek-chakram) = one-wheel, वर्तत (vartat) = in existence, एकनेमि (ek-nemi)= one principle / same principle, सहस्र-अक्षरं (sahasra-aksharam) = thousands of non-decaying celestial objects (in the creation phase), प्र (pra)= with specificity/reality, पुर: (purah) = forward, नि (ni) = with certainty, पश्चा (pashchaa)= backward ।

(continued in next column)

(continued from the previous column).
Mantra Translation:

"This universe is a one-wheel system in its real existence, with thousands of different non-decaying celestial objects forward and backward (in all directions) governed by one (same) principle. …."

That the Universe is a "One-wheel Rotating System" is revealed in the Veda mantras. The Author discusses in Chapter 7 several intriguing Vedic Cosmological pronouncements.
